Big Little Burger Brand Solves Great Takeaway Conundrum
In what just may be a global technological breakthrough with massive patent potential, Murder Burger has announced the development of a revolutionary new delivery ‘pod’ that allows burgers, fries and sides to be delivered direct to a customer’s door, to arrive in pristine condition – ‘almost as if the customer had gone and got it themselves’, said Murder Burger GM Tony Moffat.
“It has been one of life’s great unsolvables – forget Gordian knots and whether travel at the speed of light is possible – how to deliver great tasting burgers and sides without having to hand over a sodden mess that looks like its been sitting in a sauna for a week has been wrestled with by fast food operators the world over,” said Tony Moffat.
“Perhaps our complete lack of previous experience in the fast food market helped, in that we started on trying to devise a solution with no preconceived notions as to what was and wasn’t possible.
“I had a chilly bin – that seemed as good a place as any to start – and then we experimented with various common household items and a couple of things we found in the garage. The result looks pretty much like a chilly bin from the outside, but we’ve gone to a fabricator who is confident he can create a working prototype that may or may not look like a chilly bin.
“In the meantime we intend to protect this technology like we were in possession of Colonel Sanders’ secret recipe. We always send out two delivery vehicles travelling in opposite directions with one being a decoy to throw off potential industrial espionage,” said Tony.
Deliveries are being trialled to areas of Ponsonby,
Grey Lynn and Herne Bay.
“But if we’re not busy and
you sound really desperate we may consider deliveries
further away. There is a limit to how long our ‘wonder
delivery pod’ keeps things fresh.”
The company will
offer lunch time and dinner delivery for $5.00.
Murder
Burger launched last October with one store in Ponsonby Rd
and a commitment to only use free range, ethically farmed
and sustainably managed ingredients across its entire range
of burgers, wraps, and sides.
“We only wanted to be
involved in the food business if we could offer quality,
great tasting food, and really, that was the key driver
behind the decision to go free range.
“It just tastes
better, literally and figuratively.”
