MYOB Congratulates 2009 Vero Supreme Award Winner

Media release: 29 May 2009

MYOB Congratulates 2009 Vero Supreme Award Winner

Last year’s title-holder, MYOB congratulates the Ministry of Economic Development, winners of the 2009 Vero Excellence in Business Support Supreme Award.

MYOB General Manager Julian Smith says the award was well-deserved recognition of the Ministry’s commitment to the support and development of New Zealand business.

“As winners of the 2008 Vero Excellence in Business Support Supreme Award, we appreciate the commitment and dedication the Ministry of Economic Development has shown to achieve this recognition,” says Julian Smith.

“The Ministry of Economic Development has been highly effective in working alongside the private sector to deliver real support to local businesses – an achievement also reflected in their category award for the BDO Spicers Public Private Sector Partnership.”

The Vero Excellence in Business Support Awards 2009 recognise excellence in the field of business support. Other award winners, announced at the gala dinner, held on 28 May at the Logan Campbell Centre, Auckland, included Kiwibank (BDO Spicers Large Business over $10M turnover), the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (BDO Spicers Not for Profit) and Jericho (BDO Spicers Business under $5M turnover One to Many Offering).

“We also found The Vero Excellence in Business Support Awards provided us with an opportunity to recognise the hard work of all our staff and partners – and we congratulate all the members of the winner’s organisations for their hard work for Kiwi business.”
