"It was thrilling to win best media site this year, particularly in a reader's choice award in which more than 130,000 people voted," Stuff.co.nz Editor Mark Stevens said.

Fairfax Media’s Group Head of Digital, Stephen Smith says that Fairfax Digital are pleased to have a lasting relationship with the NetGuide awards.

“We highly value the importance of the people’s choice, and greatly appreciate feedback from the New Zealand public as we constantly keep our readers in mind.”

The award ceremony was a big night for Fairfax, not only picking up best media site and best homepage, but were also the proud sponsors of the travel category and were pleased to provide the winner houseoftravel.co.nz with a $10,000 advertising package on Stuff.co.nz to celebrate their achievement.
