Cheapest, fastest accounting service

PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NZ Accounting has finished developing the cheapest, fastest accounting service for small business in New Zealand, claims founder and entrepreneur Michael Fresnel.

And clients testing the NZ Accounting process seem to agree.

Thomas Foreman, of Foreman Fencing Contractors, Rotorua, turns over less than $100,000 per annum.

He agreed to trial the NZ Accounting system during its development, and his books have been completed for 2008 and 2009 by NZ Accounting’s Michael Fresnel.

He agreed to the trial because his previous accountant let him down.

“My previous accountant was expensive for starters. And it wasn’t as simple as he explained it, because I am computer illiterate. After two years I was confused – I still didn’t get his accounting system he had put in place,” said Mr Foreman.

His experience with the NZ Accounting process was markedly different.
“I was sure there was a simpler system and when I went through things with Michael Fresnel, it proved what I thought was true, that there is a simple system out there, there is no need to spend hours and hours and hours running around in circles trying to figure everything out,” said Mr Foreman.

“I thought it was a lot more hands on, it was way simpler, and the time frames – mate, from three days to two hours."

Mr Foreman also said the NZ Accounting filing system was so simple that he got the hand of it within half an hour.

“I am looking forward to doing next year’s tax, because it was so easy with NZ Accounting,” said Mr Foreman.

Gaye Deane, a businesswoman in Hamilton, also agreed to trial the NZ Accounting approach to accounting for 2008 and 2009.

“It has all been very simple. I have had good results.”

The NZ Accounting process is not only simple – it will identify expenses that can be claimed, that may have been overlooked by a businessperson, or even another accountant, claims Mr Fresnel.

“NZ Accounting is up close and personal – clients spend at least eight hours one-one-one every year with NZ Accounting. This means faulty processes and expenses are identified that may have been overlooked, which means less mistakes, which means less trouble long-term with the IRD. And it means expenses that a small business should be legitimately claiming are claimed.”

His clients agree.
“Well, there were things that I have since learned about what an accountant should be informing his clients that my previous accountant didn’t – where you can make money, and save money in a practical way. When it came to suggesting certain things, I wonder why my previous accountant didn’t tell me in two years what NZ Accounting told me in two hours,” says Mr Foreman.

“He has made me aware of things that I can claim for that I wouldn’t have thought of beforehand,” says Mrs Deane.

Mr Fresnel believes his new approach could revolutionise bookkeeping and tax compliance for businesses turning over less than $500,000 per annum.

“In the last 11 years as an accountant and an entrepreneur, I was just as frustrated as anyone with the amount of time and money it seems to take to simply comply with my IRD obligations. And it’s not getting any better,” Says Mr Fresnel.

“It was through this experience, and by drawing on the many clients I have dealt with over the years, that I developed the NZ Accounting model.”
Clients only spend two hours per annum on average in the office preparing invoices and receipts for NZ Accounting, and get to spend at least four hours one-on-one twice a year with an NZ Accounting professional.

“Spending time one-on-one with an accountant is the only way a small business owner can identify where they are going wrong and what they can do differently to save time and money,” says Mr Fresnel.

“The government deregulated the accounting industry a few years ago to make things cheaper and easier for small business owners. I believe NZ Accounting may be the first firm to really take advantage of those changes,” he says.

His test clients are so satisfied with NZ Accounting that they intend to stay.

“I won’t be going back,” says Thomas Foreman, of Foreman Fencing Contractors, Rotorua.
“If you are looking for a nice simple straightforward accountant that gives you straightforward answers with good results at a great price go to see Mike at NZ Accounting. I can personally recommend him,” says Gaye Deane, businesswoman, Hamilton.
