STAAH Appoints Managing Director

The tourism and hospitality focused internet distribution company STAAH has appointed Tania Witheford as Managing Director.

Ms Witheford has over two decades of experience in the travel industry, most recently as General Manager (Accommodation) NZ, of Wotif Group. She has also held roles with IHG & SPHC.and Go International Travel.

In her new role Ms Witheford will manage the New Zealand-based team while working closely with STAAH founder Gavin Jeddo to grow the company’s operation, which is based on increasing the online presence of its tourism based clients.

The company’s expertise in web based services has seen the rapid growth of a full suite of products which now include channel management, booking engine development where online bookings are managed via an operator’s own website, website design and search engine optimisation.

“I’ll be working closely with clients to build their online visibility and performance using the unique STAAH system, especially important in the current environment and acknowledging consumers’ growing preference to book online,” says Ms Witheford.

STAAH enables accommodation providers to broaden their online presence by distributing their rates and inventory across major websites with greater effect and efficiency. This is facilitated through STAAH’s own internet distribution system which allows clients to manage rates, inventory and inclusions simultaneously from one screen, saving time and money while increasing revenue.

In operation for three years, STAAH is a locally owned company and key internet marketing partner for a number of New Zealand’s leading hotels and accommodation providers.
