MasterCard Settles Credit Card Litigation with New Zealand Retailers
Auckland, New Zealand, 5 October, 2009
-MasterCard announced today that it has settled litigation
brought against it by a number of New Zealand
retailers.
This agreement follows the August settlement agreed to by MasterCard and the New Zealand Commerce Commission.
“MasterCard is pleased with the settlement. We can now strengthen our focus, working with our customers, on delivering world class and innovative payment solutions to New Zealand consumers and businesses”, said Stuart McKinlay, Country Manager, MasterCard New Zealand.
“New Zealand consumers should be confident that they will continue to enjoy the benefits they have come to expect from MasterCard. They can continue to use their MasterCard cards as a safe and cost-effective way to make purchases, whether at home or abroad,” said Mr. McKinlay.
