Vodafone brings the Nexus One to New Zealand

Vodafone is backing up its already impressive line of AndroidTM based smart phones with the Nexus OneTM. The Nexus One is a Snapdragon powered, HTC smart phone with some impressive features, including the latest evolution of the Android operating system 2.1, a 3.7 inch (diagonal) widescreen STFT touch screen with 800 x 480 pixel resolution, and a 1GHz Qualcomm processor.

Vodafone is the first carrier to bring the Nexus One to New Zealand, showcasing Vodafone’s commitment to bringing the best in the smart phone market to customers. With built in Google mobile apps and Google’s impressive Android Market, customers can tailor the Nexus One to fit their needs.

Vodafone General Manager of Consumer Marketing, Kursten Shalfoon says, “Vodafone is delighted to offer the one of the world’s coolest Android powered phones to our customers. The Nexus One operates on our extended 3G network so Kiwis can enjoy reliable, fast broadband speeds in 97% of where they work and play”.

The Nexus one is available online and instore from 21 July and will retail for RRP$999 (less on a plan).
