Luck of the Irish for Steinlager Fans

MEDIA RELEASE OCTOBER 2010
Luck of the Irish for Steinlager Fans

Christchurch residents Lynton and Molly Keenan said they were not lucky people, but this week they found out some very lucky news.

The Keenans are the grand prize winners of Steinlager's recent on-pack promotion, which saw over 50,000 entries from across the country. First prize was a trip to Dublin, Ireland, which the Keenan's will enjoy in November.

“We were in shock when we found out, we never win anything!” says Molly.

The competition comprised of spelling RISE' from Steinlager Classic bottle caps to celebrate Steinlager's continuing sponsorship of the All Blacks. Once all four letters of 'RISE' had been found, Steinlager fans had to find a cap containing the word 'Steinlager'.

Once they had all five caps they could enter the competition.

“I sent away 12 envelopes of bottle caps to enter. It became a bit of a competition with my son who is also a Steinlager fan. I kept asking how many have you sent' but he never told me! When he found out we had won the trip to Ireland, he was very excited for us both” says Lynton.

Thousands of other prizes were up for grabs including televisions, Steinlager bar fridges, signed All Blacks merchandise and Steinlager apparel items. All major prize winners will be contacted by phone and winners names listed on www.steinlager.co.nz
