Queenstown Mega Land Sale offers sweet deal

Queenstown Mega Land Sale offers sweet deal for early registrations

Place the first bid on a section, win the auction for that or another section in the same auction and claim a $5,000 discount off the final price. This deal is available to those who register a first bid by 5pm on March 14 on any section offered in Queenstown’s Mega Land Sale. Should any first bid on the initially chosen site not be successful, the bidder can transfer the discount to another site.

The 20 residential sections, located at picturesque Jack’s Point, are set to go under the hammer in a unique, one day, silent auction event at Jack’s Point clubrooms at 1pm on March 20th 2011. The sites are being sold by current owners Lifestyles of New Zealand (2008) Ltd.

The special offer to transfer the Opening Bidder Discount to another lot has been given the green light following numerous requests from potential purchasers.

Bas Smith, owner of Ray White Queenstown advised that the best way to take advantage of the discount system was to choose a preferred site now and register a bid by March 14.

“If they don’t secure that site then they can opt to carry the discount to another on auction day.

“We’re offering these concessions to encourage people to register soon and get their ducks in a row prior to auction day. If you’re serious about trying to secure one of these sites, the message is to get a bid in now so that you do get a first bid in on a section. This way, whatever section you end up with, you will be able to take advantage of the discount - $5K will go some way towards planning and design costs so is worthwhile having a go at.”

Jack’s Point is a stunning development with lake and mountain views located just 15 from Queenstown. Section sizes vary from 739m2 to 1505m2 and are located on prime, flat residential land in elevated positions that receive high sunshine hours.

“The Silent Auction sites average 1021m2 - which is just over the classic Kiwi quarter acre section,” said Mr Smith. “That’s quite a large residential land parcel by today’s standards.”

Making home planning easy and affordable as part of the ‘Mega Land Sale’, Vernon Henry Homes has designs created by Hofmans Architects for all sites in the sale These are for modern homes that fit with Jack’s Point design controls. A discounted design rate is being offered to successful Queenstown Mega Land Sale purchasers.

“The neighbourhood here is well underway with several houses built and occupied, several under construction and many in the planning. People buying in the Mega Sale could potentially be in a brand new home on a generous section in a fabulous new area by Christmas, for less than $600,000.”

More information, registration forms and site maps can be downloaded from www.rwqueenstown.co.nz/ by clicking on the Mega Land Sale tab.
