Double Top Honours for Local Business

Double Top Honours for Local Business

The recent Fastway Couriers Franchisee Awards in Wellington saw Fastway Auckland celebrating their continued winning streak taking home two of the three top awards. Nominated for both Regional Franchisee of the Year 2011 and Customer Service Person of the Year, the Auckland team were up against very strong competition from 18 other regions to take out the top honours in two categories.

With over 7,500 customers, 50 staff, and 80 Courier Franchisees picking up and delivering over 4.8 million parcels every year, means this operation has to run like clockwork every single day. Auckland is of course one of the most important freight hubs in the country, so it is imperative that it works seamlessly, meeting the needs of its customers but also that of the wider Fastway family. Having a focus that combines consistent sales growth with operational improvement has been the cornerstone of this Franchise during the past 12 months.

Commenting on the honour, General Manager of Fastway Couriers Auckland Scott Jenyns said, “We are absolutely delighted to win this Award, which has been a result of both the continuous hard work and outstanding support of the entire team. We all work towards one goal, giving our customers the best possible service in all areas of the business. We are now looking forward to a new challenge in the year ahead, and the goal of winning the award again in 2012”.

Customer Service Person of the Year winner Keith is of course an integral part of this sharp machine that is Fastway Couriers, Auckland. Managing pickups, deliveries, requests, track and trace queries and a team of 21 Couriers and staff for the North Shore operation, means Keith has to be on his toes constantly. As one of the largest operations in the Fastway group, Keith’s North Shore position is pinnacle to the successful delivery of freight right throughout the country in this highly competitive environment.

Commenting personally on his win, Keith stated, “I am ecstatic to have been awarded Customer Service Person of the Year making it my main focus to reinstall trust and confidence back into our North Shore based customers and was encouraged to learn that many of those customers had taken time out of their busy schedules to comment on the service they receive.”

This award recognises individuals who deliver outstanding customer service to both external and internal customers and is well deserved by someone who is described by others as “not your run of the mill” customer service person, always striving to delight the customer in every way.

Fastway Couriers is the world’s largest courier franchise, with over 1600 franchisees around the world, including 270 throughout New Zealand. Fastway’s overseas franchises take in the countries of Australia, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Germany and South Africa.
