Consumer NZ opens its doors for one day only

Consumer NZ is opening its website for all New Zealanders on Monday 30th May 2011.

Sue Chetwin, CEO of Consumer NZ, says "The 'Free for All' day recognises the fact that right now we're all looking for ways to spend smarter and stretch our dollars further, so for just one day we're giving all kiwis access to everything on consumer.org.nz., and the best thing is it won't cost them a thing".

Consumer NZ already provides a lot of free consumer advice and information on its website, but in addition to this the 'Free for All' day enables people to gain free access to over 500 independent test reports and buyer guides online, the chance to win Consumer Recommended products and the opportunity to take up special membership discounts.

"For those that are not familiar with Consumer this is a great chance to go in and have a look, you will see that we have information on the best buys in cars, cameras, big-screen TVs, whiteware, heating products - on just about everything", says Sue.

The Free for All was announced with a few days to go and there has already been a high level of interest in it so it is expected the site will be very popular on the day.

The site is open from 6am until 12 midnight on Monday 30th May.

Sue says accessing the site is easy, "just visit www.consumer.org.nz either before or on the day and you will be able to register for access to all the great information that our members get to experience everyday".
