candidates
With Don Nicolson retiring at the Federation's Annual General Meeting on 1 July in Rotorua, Federated Farmers has received four nominations for the position of National President.
"This will be the first contested election for the position of President since the early 1990's," says Conor English, Federated Farmers Chief Executive and Returning Officer.
"It is believed to be the largest number of candidates seeking the office of President in Federated Farmers history.
"Media are invited to cover the election, which will be held in Rotorua on the morning of Friday, 1 July.
"We envisage the Federation's new President will be publicly announced sometime in the morning and a media briefing to be held just after midday," Mr English concluded.
