Property Kings Launch Remuera Real Estate Register

18th July 2011

Property Kings Launch Remuera Real Estate Register

Top residential sales specialists Terry and Diana King have launched the first new real estate company in the Auckland suburb of Remuera for over 25 years.

The Remuera Real Estate Register is a new concept for the high performing duo, aiming to match people with property in the much sought after area.

Prior to opening the Remuera Real Estate Register, Terry and Diana were the number one sales agents for one of the country’s biggest real estate franchises.

Remuera is the largest, single, real estate market in New Zealand. This is as a result of the ‘movement’ that takes place. More houses are bought and sold on a regular basis than anywhere else. The key motivation is education related. People move into the area to be close to key schools then move out when their families have left home. Depending on the cycle, there is either a surplus or a shortage of good family homes in Remuera.

Terry who has already forged one successful career as an advertising legend explains: `Remuera is unlike any other part of New Zealand. People move in and out of the area largely for the schools. There is such a high density of top private schools and parents want to live nearby so they can support all the associated activities.’

Because of this perennial demand there is a shortage of good family homes for sale in Remuera, particularly in the $1m to $2m price bracket. At the moment there are around 70 buyers on The Register, people who have given The Kings a brief and asked the Kings to find a house for them to buy in Remuera.

Terry adds: `Over the last couple of years we have built up a data base of people who couldn’t find properties to suit them. This demand is exacerbated by the fact that a good number of people are holding off putting their houses on the market in the misguided belief that current prices are depressed. This is not the case. Most Remuera properties we have sold over the last 12 months have achieved prices well in excess of CV and in some cases considerably in excess of 2007 prices. Now is a very good time to sell.

‘The Register simply matches people with property. If you are looking to buy we probably have access to the right home for you and if you want to sell we may already have the right buyer on the Register. More and more we are sell houses to first or second person from our database that we take through. We’re convinced that The Register is the real estate marketing tool of the future. People want local knowledge, inventory and expertise from advisers who own the business and are part of the community. We have a level of service based on our knowledge of Remuera houses, architecture and decor allied with our unique marketing experience and proven track record.’

Greexit, Eurogeddon... watch out... flight to quality and all that. Follow your instincts.
