HSBC Launches Life Insurance Campaign

PRESS RELEASE

25 July 2011 For immediate release

HSBC Launches Life Insurance Campaign – First Three Months Free Premiums

HSBC New Zealand has today announced the launch of a new campaign whereby HSBC Premier customers can receive the first three months of their premiums free when signing up for a life insurance policy with the Bank.

The offer is available to new and existing HSBC Premier customers that do not have a life insurance policy with the Bank. Existing HSBC Premier customers who increase their cover will be eligible for a three month rebate for the amount of any premium increase.

Glen Tonks, Head of Wealth, at HSBC New Zealand says: “The launch of today’s campaign is in direct response to customer requests for competitive insurance and also internal research which had shown that many of our customers were unaware of the insurance offerings we had.“

“The campaign is also a reflection of internal changes which have seen a name change from Personal Financial Services to Retail Banking and Wealth Management. Rather than just being about a name change, it is about building on the success of HSBC Premier and developing a world class wealth management proposition of which insurance is a core component,” continues Tonks.

The promotion runs from 25 July to 9 September 2011 and is available on HSBC Life Policies. Customers will be reimbursed their first three months’ premium payments after the first 90 days from the start of their policy.
