PRESS RELEASE

14 November 2011

Cemix in Deloitte Fast 50 Index

CEMIX has made the Deloitte Fast 50 Index for 2011. Cemix is the leading bagged concrete and mortar manufacturer in the building industry in New Zealand and came in 21st in the Index. Being in the Fast 50 Index indicates that Cemix is one of the fastest growing companies in New Zealand in 2011. In addition, in the manufacturing segment in Auckland and Northland, Cemix is the #1 fastest growing company.

The Fast 50 recognises the vision, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit of New Zealand’s go-getters. Bhav Dhillon, CEO of Cemix, said, ‘It is another proud moment in the history of Cemix to have made the Deloitte Fast 50 index. With great pride I attribute this to the great team we have’.
CEMIX has been manufacturing innovative construction products in New Zealand for over 25 years. Today CEMIX is NZ's leading premixed concrete and mortar manufacturer having the widest range of bagged products available nationwide.
This vision has been achieved via a unique combination of
• New Zealand's most advanced manufacturing facility
• Being at the forefront of technology through innovation
• Industry leading responsive technical expertise

• Customer orientation and continually setting higher standards of customer satisfaction
• Continuous in-house research and development
• Responsibility for the environment by employing sustainable production techniques
The Deloitte Fast 50 index has been celebrating business growth in New Zealand since 2001. The Fast 50 is a Deloitte initiative which operates in 32 countries or regions worldwide. The Deloitte Fast 50 index has become a barometer of successful, innovative businesses across the country. Entries to the index are compiled through a combination of Deloitte research, public nominations, and businesses stepping up to be benchmarked. Businesses that choose to enter and meet the entry criteria are then ranked according to their percentage revenue growth. The 50 businesses with the highest percentage growth made up the 2011 Deloitte Fast 50.

The Fast 50 Index placement comes at the end of a highly awarded year for Cemix. Cemix Envirocrete, made from 50% recycled materials, received 2 sustainability awards, including the Ministry for the Environment’s Green Ribbon Awards, plus Cemix was a finalist for Supplier of the Year in the building industry’s Hardware Awards. Bhav Dhillon, Cemix CEO, commented, ‘All of this recognition has been achieved through a combination of innovation, product development and being consistently customer-centric. We have revised all our packaging over the past 24 months and responded to our customer needs, creating new products to match the market’.
