GFG Group adds depth to international management team

Auckland, 22 November 2011. International payments software and services company GFG Group Ltd has appointed Kim de Moor to the position of operations manager, based in Auckland.

Before joining GFG Group in September 2011, Kim de Moor was director of software development at unified communications and contact centre software company Zeacom.

At GFG Group, de Moor’s mandate is to run the day-to-day global operations of GFG Group and he is responsible for all operational decisions. As a member of GFG Group’s senior management team, he also contributes to developing and implementing the company’s strategic direction.

De Moor has held senior support and development manager roles at IT software companies including Zeacom Ltd, Jarin Consulting Ltd and Keystone Ltd (a software company he co-founded in the early nineties). Earlier in his career, de Moor also worked for Wang New Zealand Ltd.

An IT industry veteran with over 20 years’ experience, de Moor started as a software developer straight out of university and over the years has worked across the whole spectrum of the software development lifecycle within product delivery organisations, amassing significant in-depth software development knowledge and management experience.

“Kim has brought a wealth of valuable knowledge and experience to this operations management role,” says GFG Group executive director Dennis Row.

“His software development background and deep knowledge of the software development lifecycle inside product delivery-focussed organisations means he comprehensively understands what a company needs to do to deliver innovative, quality product based on best practice. Kim also brings to the table experience in complex project management and implementation.

“Kim has been managing teams for over twenty years and his proven people and relationship management skills and leadership track record, combined with his project management and technical experience, is an asset to GFG Group. He’s a great fit for the company,” Row says.

De Moor is relishing the opportunity GFG Group presents: “I’ve spent many years in support and development management roles, so what this role offers is the opportunity to spread my wings and focus on operations management. I’ll be using my initiative and experience to provide leadership to the operations team and put strategies in place to refine and streamline processes to increase efficiency and profitability while maintaining quality and continuing to deliver the high-quality, cutting edge products and services GFG Group is known for globally.”

“GFG Group is dynamic, with a world class suite of products and clients across the globe. I’m looking forward to helping the company grow further,” de Moor says.
