Designworks Continues Recruitment Drive

Designworks has underlined its strong credentials in business transformation with the appointment of four new design specialists.

Mark Bensemen has joined the company’s Auckland office as a Design Leader while Bridget Taylor has been appointed Spatial Designer.

In the firm’s Wellington office, Anais Ardid is Designworks’ new Design Strategist and Frank MacFarlane a senior Digital Producer – Interactive.

“Designworks has pushed hard this year to grow its expert skill base across the full range of design disciplines,” says Designworks Chief Executive Sven Baker.

“This reflects our commitment to offering an innovative and strategically focused full-service package that encompasses brand strategy and design right through to interactive and retail environments.”

Design Leader Mark Bensemen has more than 20 years’ experience in branding and design throughout Australasia, including working on major projects such as development of a wide range of export brands through NZ Trade & Enterprise’s Better By Design programme.

New Spatial Designer Bridget Taylor has a Bachelor of Design in Spatial Design and extensive experience in retail and design projects ranging from large retail roll-outs to small boutique stores.

Design Strategist, Barcelona-born Anais Ardid, has impressive international training and experience as a creative strategist and designer. With a Degree from Central Saint Martins in London, she’s taught master classes in Design Research at the Institute of European Design along with working at major design agencies. Her most recent role as Design Strategist for Fiche Consulting involved exploring the future of tax and technology for the IRD.

Senior Digital Producer – Interactive, Frank MacFarlane, comes to Designworks fresh from five years at VFX Weta Digital where he managed complex international projects such as feature films Planet of the Apes and soon to be released Tintin. His work experience with boutique digital interactive agency Resn saw him collaborate with major design agencies for clients such as MySpace and Toyota Racing.
