Feltex claimant group now over 2,500
In January
2012, Eric Houghton and Joint Action Funding Limited updated
Feltex IPO investors who had suffered significant losses
investing in the Feltex float in 2004, but had not yet opted
in to the Houghton led claim.
The claim is against the
Feltex directors at the time (Tim Saunders, Sam Magill,
Peter Thomas, John Feeney, Peter Hunter, Craig Horrocks, and
Joan Withers), Credit Suisse, the vendor of Feltex shares,
and another Credit Suisse entity, the promoter, and the
organising participants and joint lead managers, First NZ
Capital and Forsyth Barr Limited.
In response, over 800
new claimants have now opted-in, bringing the total claimant
group to over 2,500
investors.

Pattrick Smellie Comment: Doddling along the best we can hope forCriticising Budgets for lacking vision or imagination is like shooting fish in a barrel, but even so, this year's Budget again feels like a missed opportunity. Perhaps it's the intrusion of real world needs that means the government couldn't make better political use of the $558.8 million it expects to gather in its first partial asset sale. More >>
