Making small business better

Making small business better

Thousands of small businesses will be able to save money with an innovative new way of call charges to phones on any network anywhere in the world, says Andrew Crabb, TelstraClear head of business and government.

“Today we introduced Minute Pack options for small businesses that will bring them some peace of mind and let them worry about what really matters – being successful. These are premium quality calls delivered over our network, just as standard calls are now. There’s no need to get new equipment – just be on one of our popular small business plans.

“It can be hard for people in a small business to keep track of and control costs. When there are only a few people and they are concentrating on doing what it takes to run the business, things like the cost of telecommunications can slip the mind. We’ve listened to our small business customers and they’ve told us that a big concern is how phone bills can easily mount up, especially the cost of long distance calls.

Minute Packs are similar to a mobile phone’s included minutes. Depending on where calls are made to, a Minute Pack option is likely to represent significantly lower calling costs. Minutes can be used for calls from the company’s landline to any other phone in the world. The only exclusions are calls to 0900, directory service and similar ‘pay-to-use’ numbers, as well as calls to satellite phones and calls from mobiles.

Andrew Crabb says a Minute Pack is a great option for businesses who are worried about the cost of their calling. “A Minute Pack means you’re paying far less to call a mobile – or anywhere in New Zealand or even overseas for that matter. The 1000 Minute Pack is almost 17 hours of business calling for just $100.

“We’re excited to be bringing our customers another revolution in New Zealand telecommunications. We know that this country’s small enterprises work really hard to make a go of it, and we make sure we are always delivering value to them. We know that our success depends on them doing well too.”

TelstraClear Minute packs start at just $50 a month for 500 minutes of toll calls from your landline – whether national, mobile, or international. 1000 minutes of toll calls is $100, or $70 if those 1000 minutes include local calls. Terms and conditions apply.
