Plus4 Insurance Adds Another Adviser

News Release 18 June 2012

Plus4 Insurance Adds Another Adviser

Plus4 Insurance Solutions (Plus4), the national insurance broking and financial adviser group, today announced that Auckland financial adviser Rod Mudgway has joined the group, expanding Plus4’s presence in Auckland.

An Authorised Financial Adviser (AFA), Rod is the principal of Brackenridge Financial Solutions. Rod began his financial services career working with Norwich Union in 1994. He subsequently worked with a nationwide advisory network before leaving to establish his own company, Brackenridge, in 2000.

Working from Auckland’s Herne Bay, Rod helps business owners and individuals find the right mix of insurance, debt reduction and investment options in order to add value and meet their changing circumstances.

Plus4’s chairman Grant Uridge said, “Rod is a successful and highly regarded Auckland adviser with 18 years experience in the financial services sector. Given that Plus4 is a cooperative, the only specialist insurance and financial broking firm who is a member of the NZ Cooperatives Association, we are very selective about whom we ask to join our group. They need to not only share our values but also have the necessary experience and expertise, as each member has an equal shareholding in Plus4.”

Established in 2008 in Nelson, Plus4 now has over 25 advisers working from 11 locations between Whangarei and Invercargill. Group members, who have no affiliations to any specific insurance provider, offer unbiased advice tailored to their individual and business clients’ requirements. They work predominantly with small to medium sized enterprises, their owners and their accountants.

Rod Mudgway said, “Joining Plus4 will enhance our offering by providing access to Plus4’s systems and processes, as well as the benefit of being part of a group of like-minded professionals.

Grant Uridge said, “We are pleased to welcome Rod to Plus4; being Auckland based helps the group expand its footprint in that city.”
