Trilingual an advantage for Mortgage Express

Mortgage Express recruited its fifth trilingual Advisor last week in Anita Ye who will work with Harcourts Remuera in Auckland, joining fellow Advisor Mark Courtney.

With a growing Asian population Harcourts Remuera has seen their Asian clientele grow by forty per cent in the last year.

Harcourts Remuera Business Owner Stu Jenner comments that New Zealand is seen as a popular choice for many cultures to live and bring up their families.

“Our clients are often relocating to reap the benefits of first class schooling and the close proximity to transport and amenities that Remuera has to offer. We are seeing a lot of buyers and young professionals move into the area – of course they too are looking for the best deal they can. With Anita and Mark working with us we are able to provide a service to offer a wide range of options to a wide range of cultures which makes this much desired suburb an affordable option.”

Remuera and other popular Auckland suburbs like Epsom and Albany are seeing a surge of Asian buyers into the market. With New Zealand's Asian population projected to reach 790,000 by 2026, an increase of 390,000 (3.4 percent a year) over the 2006 estimate of 400,000 (Statistics NZ), the need to provide multicultural services is very much in the forefront of Mortgage Express’ mind.

“Our business is about assisting people to fulfil their dreams and reach financial freedom and with Auckland and to some degree Christchurch, being a very popular choice for Asian buyers we see an opportunity to help more and more people,” says Mortgage Express CEO Marcus Williams.
