Bringing Cali to K’ Road

Bringing Cali to K’ Road

A serious dose of California cool has been added to K’ Road’s eclectic restaurant scene this week with the opening of Mexicali Fresh.

This successful restaurant concept provides consumers with the freshest, fastest and most exciting California-style Mexican food in New Zealand. The K’ Road opening makes it store number four in Auckland for Mexicali Fresh, with plans for further expansion over the coming months.

The store is based in the innovative Ironbank Building at 150 Karangahape Road and offers the full complement of California-style Mexican favourites like burritos, quesadillas, nachos and taco salads. Everything is chopped, grilled or roasted daily using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. The fresh ingredients combined with an impressive array of ice cold Mexican beer, frosty margaritas and tequila creates a winning combination.

Mexicali Fresh CEO Cindy Buell says; “With K’ Road being such a lively social hub we’re expecting this to be a very busy store. We believe that K’ Road’s melting pot of cultures is a great fit with the philosophy of Mexicali Fresh.

“We look forward to meeting our new business neighbours, along with new and old customers alike over the next few weeks,” she adds.

To celebrate the new store opening, students, Gold Card holders and K’ Road businesses are entitled to 10% off food at the Mexicali Fresh Karangahape Road store on presentation of the relevant ID or business card.

Mexicali Fresh has plans to open further stores in Auckland and throughout the country, with property options currently being explored for stores in West Auckland and the North Shore.
