New CEO for BCA

Andrew Ritchie, President of the BCA, is pleased to announce Philip Manning as the new CEO of the BCA. Philip will commence at the BCA on 1 October 2012.

The BCA Council used a professional recruitment company to conduct the process and was pleased with the high calibre of applicants to select from.

Philip's background in the bus and coach industry spanning 14 years put him in a strong position to take up the challenge of advocating for the industry. His time on the BCA Council has also given him a good grounding in the role and activities of the BCA.

Philip was deemed to be the best candidate for the position after a rigorous and transparent process.

"I am delighted to accept the role of CEO of the Bus and Coach Association. I wish to acknowledge the wonderful job Raewyn has done during her tenure and am keenly aware of the high standards I must maintain in stepping into the role. I am passionate about this industry and its people and am eagerly looking forward to the challenges ahead" Philip Manning said of his appointment.

Philip replaces Raewyn Bleakley who has been at the helm of the BCA since February 2008. Raewyn leaves the BCA on 12 October to head up the Employers' Chamber of Commerce Central.
