Hamilton printing company wins awards on the world stage

Hamilton-based printing company Admark Visual Imaging Ltd has been granted three world awards at the Specialist Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) Golden Image Awards in Las Vegas, USA.

Admark collected a gold and bronze award, plus received an honourable mention at the awards that showcase leaders in the imaging industry. The Golden Image Awards, organised by the SGIA International, attracts entries from all corners of the world, and is recognised as the world stage for excellence in Screen and Digital Printing.

The only gold medal in the Retail/Point of Purchase/Exhibits category was awarded to Admark for Waka NZ Maori. This large format digital print was used as part of a display to showcase Maori rugby history at Auckland’s Princess Wharf during the Rugby World Cup last year.

Admark also won an honourable mention for ‘Burger King New Kings Collection’. This digitally-printed backlit graphic is currently being used on Burger King’s menu boards throughout New Zealand.

In addition, Admark was awarded a bronze award for Streets Ice Cream in the Retail/Point of Purchase/Exhibits category. This screen print is used in BP Service Station’s throughout New Zealand.

Applicants from around the world entered the competition, and this year’s event was one of the most challenging for judges in recent history. They had a difficult time this year due to the quality of the work submitted. The SGIA Golden Image Awards puts Admark in an elite class with some of the best printing and graphics firms in the world.
