Media Release

Minter Ellison Rudd Watts adds to the 2012 trophy cabinet

We are proud to announce that on 1 November 2012 we were awarded the Large Law Firm of the year at the 2012 New Zealand Law Awards, held in Auckland. As winners we were nominated and voted for directly by clients.

Winning the Large Law Firm of the year award recognises us for leading expertise across a broad range of practice areas and our experience in acting on New Zealand’s largest, most complex and urgent transactions and disputes.

We wish to extend particular congratulations to our client Z Energy Ltd and our alliance partner Lane Neave who were also winners on the night.

Minter Ellison Rudd Watts and Lane Neave formed an alliance to provide Christchurch with the ability to access the combined benefit of a highly respected local law firm with the scale and contacts of a national firm.

Earlier this year Minter Ellison Rudd Watts won Best New Zealand Firm for Women in Business Award, as well as the City Award for Auckland and Wellington at the prestigious Euromoney Australasia Women in Business Law Awards.

We are also a finalist in the AUT Excellence in Business Support Awards. The winners will be announced in November at a black-tie gala dinner in Auckland. The Supreme Award will be chosen from the category winners.
