Quartz Reef Completes the Treble

Quartz Reef Completes the Treble with Pure Gold Win at Air NZ Wine Awards

The Pure Gold medal awarded to Quartz Reef Méthode Traditionnelle Brut at Air NZ Wine Awards announced overnight has completed a winning treble for this premium Central Otago single estate grown producer and caps a great month of awards.

Quartz Reef only produces three Méthode Traditionnelle wines and to have a 100 percent Gold Medal success rate shows a commitment to superior quality from winemaker, Rudi Bauer, and his dedicated team who create these bottle fermented hand crafted wines.

“This confirms our international reputation and standing as a well established premium Central Otago brand. To gain this level of Gold Medal success is both humbling and exciting especially because these are the first Gold Medals and Trophies awarded to Central Otago Méthode Traditionnelle Wines. While it’s a success for Quartz Reef, it’s also fantastic recognition for Central Otago,” Rudi says.

“We’ve always talked about our Quartz Reef wines from our Bendigo Estate vineyard being ‘Grown out of Gold’ in reference to the history of gold mining in the Bendigo region. Now we can say that with even more confidence and extra meaning with this wonderful recognition.

“It’s also a great time to have this success as we near year end and with the festive season fast approaching.”

The three gold medal wines are now available throughout New Zealand.
