Fisher & Paykel’s Investment In Quality Paying Off

MEDIA RELEASE
19 November 2012

Fisher & Paykel’s Investment In Quality Paying Off As Its Refrigerators Rated ‘Five Star’ By New Zealanders

New Zealand consumers have rated their Fisher & Paykel refrigerators as ‘five star’, the top rating in the most recent Canstar Blue Consumer Satisfaction Survey* which sees the company awarded the Most Satisfied Customer Award for 2012 in the refrigerator category.

The favourite brand received five stars in seven out of eight categories measured, including performance & reliability, design, internal layout, service & warranty, energy efficiency, and quality of fittings & fixtures.

Global Brand Manager Roger Bridge says this result shows the company’s ongoing investment in quality is paying off in appliance performance.

“We are extremely proud of this result. Our number one position reaffirms that our research, design and engineering is delivering the results we want, and that our customers deserve.”

More than 75 years ago the Fisher & Paykel brand was founded on what was then ground breaking refrigeration technology and design, and Mr Bridge says the company is staying true to that legacy today.

“All Fisher & Paykel refrigerators are designed and engineered in New Zealand.

“We design for real life, so understanding how people live and work in their kitchen, and what they need from their refrigerator to make that more enjoyable, is at the centre of our design process. To do this we also have a team of dedicated food care experts who routinely test and challenge how the refrigerator works to identify new and better ways of keeping food fresher for longer.

Fisher & Paykel’s ActiveSmartTM technology is one element that sets its fridges apart – delivering better food care and greater efficiency. This exclusive technology is made up of a microprocessor and interior sensors that constantly monitor the fridge environment and automatically adjust fan and air duct operations for the best food care and efficiency.

While performance and reliability are musts, the Fisher & Paykel design team know that how an appliance looks is important to consumers. All Fisher & Paykel appliances feature the same sleek and sophisticated design approach for a seamlessly styled, but welcoming, kitchen.

*The CanStar Blue Customer Satisfaction Survey recently questioned approximately 650 New Zealanders about their customer experience and satisfaction with refrigerators across eight categories. More information and full results are available at http://www.canstarblue.co.nz
