How Can SME’s Get More Business?

MEDIA RELEASE -

How Can SME’s Get More Business?

Date: 12th March 2013

New Zealand is built up of small and medium businesses, many of whom are experts at what they do, have fantastic products or services to offer but find it difficult to get more business and find customers. It’s the same story across all industries, regardless of whether you are in the service industry such as an engineering or mechanic, or selling a product into retailers or alternatively running your own retail store. Your business will only be profitable if you have customers. Sarah Davies, who is an expert in helping SME’s to build their brands, is holding an evening workshop, in response to the demand of the SME industry to teach SME owners how to reach their potential customers with high impact low cost marketing and ideas and generate more business. The event is being held on Tuesday 26th March 2013 from 6-8pm at The St Columba Centre in Ponsonby.

The workshop will give small business owners the inside scoop on marketing themselves. A small business owner herself, Sarah has previously worked in high-end agencies both here and overseas as well as building a horticultural business from scratch and eventually selling it. She understands that small and medium (SME’s) businesses need ideas or initiatives that deliver maximum impact whilst keeping the spend low. Subsequently, the workshop will offer a range of creative strategic approaches designed to suit all budgets. “It’s important for businesses to be different from their competitors. Fast service, professional attitude, qualifications, and a reasonable price have all become benchmarks that are just expected by customers. It’s also what all your competitors are saying too. By setting yourself apart from your competitors you will stand out and rise above the ‘clutter’ of advertising and messages that we are bombarded with on a daily basis so you can create an impact with the people who you want to do business with.”

Sarah is the owner of Purple Sherbet an Ellerslie based, brand consultancy that specialises in helping SME’s gain more customers and be successful.

The workshop will equip people with the knowledge needed to identify their competitive advantage as well as deciphering who their target audience is and what is of value to them. She will also offer a number of targeted, cost- effective ideas and discuss free marketing.

WORKSHOP DETAILS: “How to Get New Business on a Shoe String Budget” – with Sarah Davies. Tuesday 26th March from 6.00pm – 8.00pm at The Columba Centre, 40 Vermont Street, Ponsonby.
