Manheim New Zealand Appointed by IAG

IAG has confirmed the appointment of automotive auctioneering company Manheim, as their sole supplier to dispose of their written off vehicles. As New Zealand’s largest insurance company, IAG’s contract for the disposal of damaged vehicles is the largest of its type in the country.

The three year contract will see Manheim auction IAG’s written off vehicles through a combination of online sales and physical auctions in Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington.

Manheim are specialists in the sale of vehicles to trade and private buyers, selling on behalf of customers such as insurance companies, leasing and finance companies, local government and vehicle manufacturers and dealers.

Manheim’s CEO, Tim Hudson, was clearly delighted by the appointment. “The decision by IAG to appoint Manheim as their sole supplier sends a clear signal to the market about our credibility and our capability. We understand the local market and by listening to IAG’s requirements, we were able to tailor a national solution that fully caters to their needs. Our highly innovative approach combined with our ease to do business with and our ability to maximise their returns, was clearly an appealing proposition.”

The agreement commences in early May and Manheim is encouraging buyers to register their interest for more information about the sale of IAG’s damaged vehicles, by becoming a member online at www.manheim.co.nz.
