Self Funded New Zealand Webseries Debut Draws In Viewers

Walter Wants a Woman makes headway online and through social media

Just 4 weeks after the release of Episode 1, Walter Wants a Woman - a fresh comedy in bite sized pieces - has already gained over 2,500 views online.

The writing team (which double as the crew and actors) Jeremy Garland, Rachel Choy and Callum Butcher have created a quirky-awkward comedy about a loveable but hopeless man called Walter.

Every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 8pm a new episode is released on the YouTube channel - www.youtube.com/waltzmyheart - and the episodes have proven popular on Facebook and Twitter, with contestants from The Block NZ 2012 and Guy Williams retweeting episode links. This series is 100% local content and a labour of love.

The season finale is at 8pm Wednesday, 29th May 2013. For more information go to www.youtube.com/waltzmyheart or www.facebook.com/waltzmyheart

Walter, an almost-30-year-old has just moved out of home and decided to start something he thinks he’ll be quite good at: dating. He’s never had a girlfriend before, but he has had a hug once! He has some interesting ideas about dating and really is quite hopeless when it comes to girls.

We join Walter on his journey through love, the ups and downs, the unexpected and pleasant surprises. We get to understand him, connect with him and see his story told through his voice. We don’t know if he will find true love or not, but soon begin to feel as if we know him. Walter: the loveable, hopeless romantic.
