Farmers Helping Women Look Good and Feel Better

Farmers Helping Women Look Good and Feel Better

Dream Week is back for a third year this July helping Look Good Feel Better to restore confidence in the thousands of New Zealand women who are diagnosed with cancer each year.

Dream Week, which is running from Tuesday 2 July to Saturday 6 July, is Look Good Feel Better’s annual flagship campaign. As well as providing an opportunity to raise awareness of the work Look Good Feel Better does, Dream Week is a major funding source for the charity.

Every year Look Good Feel Better supports New Zealand women undergoing cancer treatment, by providing free workshops where they receive a ‘pick me up’ makeover from fully trained volunteers.

During the month of July, all Farmers customers will be invited to add a gold coin donation to any purchase from the cosmetic department, with 100% of the donations going to Look Good Feel Better. Farmers are also supporting the cause through the sale of Look Good Feel Better merchandise, the ever popular and iconic lipstick pens and by donating $1 from the sale of selected lipstick brands.

“The invaluable support we receive from Farmers allows us to reach a wide audience across New Zealand and raise awareness of the important service Look Good Feel Better provides,” says Look Good Feel Better General Manager Yvonne Brownlie.

“Our workshops offer so much more than just a makeover and a take home pack of makeup,” adds Brownlie “The Look Good Feel Better programme offers women going through cancer treatment comradeship, laughter and hope to face the future with confidence.”

“As Look Good Feel Better continues to grow we require more support to ensure we can run our programme successfully throughout the country,” says Brownlie.
