Candidates from leading hotels throughout the country will under go a gruelling panel interview, testing their knowledge on costs, profits, revenue, yield management, staffing level, structure and promotional ideas etc. This is followed by a skill demonstration (role-play) where candidates will need to think on their feet to identify guest’s needs and match them with the highest standard of customer care and professionalism. I am confident the next STAR is in our region again this year and this week’s competition will find that very person who will defend our national title in Christchurch this September” Said Blaine Inch, Vice President of AICR Central Branch. The Central North Island’s heat is being held on Friday 9th August at Hilton Lake Taupo.
