Antares Restaurant Group (Burger King New Zealand) announces appointment of James Woodbridge, General Manager of Marketing

Burger King New Zealand today announced the appointment of James Woodbridge as General Manager Marketing. Previously Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer McDonald’s Europe-West, James’ responsibilities included diverse markets such as Germany, Austria, Central Europe, Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia. James has 23 years’ experience in both the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) and video game industries. 

Originally from Auckland, James has recently returned to New Zealand with his family after nine years away. 

“I’m really looking forward to contributing to the strategic growth of the Burger King brand and the Antares Restaurant Group as we look for opportunities to grow the market.” 

The prospect of returning home to lead Burger King’s marketing is a fantastic opportunity to work with a world class management team who are passionate about the business and well supported by our private equity partners, Blackstone Group.

Burger King New Zealand Chief Executive, John Hunter says the appointment provides Burger King with further expertise in the Marketing arena.
