Baycorp chooses Gen-i’s SIP trunking service
Baycorp chooses to leverage Gen-i’s SIP trunking service for business performance
Auckland – 31 October 2013 – Debt management company Baycorp has chosen Gen-i Voice Connect as its SIP trunking service, which it says will help to greatly improve Baycorp’s core business performance.
Voice Connect is a Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) trunking service that supports Voice over IP (VoIP) telephony. After deploying Voice Connect, Gen-i will meet Baycorp’s WAN, internet and SIP requirements over a single access connection.
Alex Cruden, Baycorp’s New Zealand Country Manager, says the scalability of Gen-i’s WAN service across New Zealand was a key driver behind the decision to sign with Voice Connect.
“One of the key deliverables that Voice Connect will provide us is its capacity to improve performance in our core business of debt recovery,” says Cruden
“To succeed in this business, we need to be able to increase our number of completed calls, while having enough capacity to continue doing business even when demand is high. Without a strong core network, meeting these targets is impossible.”
Steve Mills, Gen-i’s GM Corporate Clients, says that the deal is a significant win for the company, as it demonstrates Gen-i’s capability for delivering market leading SIP trunking services in Australasia.
“Gen-i has had a long standing business relationship with Baycorp and we are committed to delivering the highest quality ICT solutions to the company through Voice Connect,” says Mills.
Mills says that as well as Voice Connect, Baycorp will have access to Gen-i’s full service delivery platform, which will provide a range of ReadyCloud products, including ReadyCloud Collaboration.
“What an end-to-end service means for Baycorp is a single point of management and accountability, which will reduce complexity for their systems. It will also enable us to minimise risk by providing network redundancy and failover options for Baycorp.”
Gen-i will be migrating Baycorp’s services over the next few months.
