Hawkes Bay Power Outage - Update

Transpower advises that it is currently experiencing a power outage in the Hawkes Bay area affecting around 80,000 customers.
The cause of the outage was simultaneous lightning strikes on two of the major transmission circuits running into the Hawkes Bay area.
Power is currently being restored. Given the area affected however this could take up to one hour for all power to be restored to the area.
