Food Recall of Chesdale Cheese Slices 250g (12 single slices, smoked flavour) due to possible presence of plastic

Goodman Fielder NZ is conducting a voluntary consumer food recall of one of its products; Chesdale Cheese Slices 250g (12 single slices, smoked flavour) due to the possible presence of thin clear plastic in the cheese.

This recall applies only to Chesdale Cheese Slices 250g (12 single slices, smoked flavour) with the production date of 6 June 2014 and best before date of 5 June 2015.

This is a processed product with a long shelf life. Consumers should not eat this product under any circumstances. This product is recalled as a precaution due to a possible choking hazard.

This product, Chesdale Cheese Slices 250g (12 single slices, smoked flavour), is in the process of being recalled from stores and some may remain in people’s homes. The company is advising purchasers to review date codes and contact the Goodman Fielder Consumer Advisory Centre on 0800 368 052 to obtain a full refund.

No other Goodman Fielder products are affected by this recall.

Goodman Fielder is working with the third party manufacturer of the affected product on the recall.
