Another ‘New Zealand first’ for property services company Bayleys

Bayleys Property Services and sister company Bayleys Valuations Ltd have become the first organisations in New Zealand to receive official accreditation from the Property Institute of New Zealand to operate across all four sectors of its presence in the property market.

The Property Institute of New Zealand is the industry’s professional body - representing valuers, property managers, property advisors, and frastructure/plant/machinery valuers. The body has some 2500 members nationwide.

The four disciplines under the Property Institute of New Zealand’s auspices include property management; property valuation; property advisory services; and infrastructure/plant/machinery valuations.

The Institute operates the Quality Assurance Accreditation System (QAAS) which requires members to display the highest level of professionalism and expertise in their service delivery. The programme is independently audited.

Bayleys Property Services and Bayleys Valuations Ltd is the only company to receive QAAS accreditation under all four disciplines. Bayleys Valuations national director John Darroch said the achievement reflected that Bayleys was the only full-service real estate agency in New Zealand striving to reach new levels of customer service.

“The Property Institute of New Zealand’s independent and thorough audit process is designed to identify what practices and procedures a company is using, and where appropriate, how they procedures can be refined and improved,” Mr Darroch said.

“The clients of such companies with QAAS accreditation can then benchmark the level of customer service they are receiving.”
