MYOB and ASB speed up bank feed sign-on

MYOB and ASB speed up bank feed sign-on

MYOB and ASB are making business life even easier for their customers, by enabling them to set up bank feeds overnight.

Small Business customers can start the online setup in MYOB before logging on to ASB’s online banking services to give authority for their transaction data to flow direct to MYOB. The first account feed will appear the next day and can include transactions backdated up to one year. Until now a paper form had to be completed and signed by the account holder, and it could take days before the account feed appeared.

MYOB General Manager, Accountants Division Adam Ferguson says removing the need for paper forms results in a more efficient process, which means business operators can start to enjoy the benefits of MYOB bank feeds sooner.

“By simplifying the process through direct integration between ASB and MYOB’s accounting software, we can eliminate manual data entry for bank transactions. This provides more accurate and timely financial data to assist accountants and their SME clients,” Mr Ferguson says.

ASB Executive General Manager, Technology and Innovation Russell Jones says SME customers have been able to take advantage of direct, secure and timely bank feeds for many years, but steps to speed up the initial integration process with MYOB provides an even greater service.

“At ASB we are continually looking for ways to make banking easier for SMEs and we are proud to be the first major bank to simplify the sign-on process for MYOB bank feeds,” Mr Jones says.

Once set up, the integrated service sees transactions automatically uploaded each day, which saves customers hours of account processing each month, Mr Jones says.

In addition, ASB has improved its data feeds for both personal and business credit cards. MYOB users now have greater visibility of transactions on their credit cards for easier reconciliation.
