Centralines Announces Discount for Customers

Monday 10 November 2014 - Central Hawke’s Bay community-owned lines company, Centralines, has this week declared a $1.1 million discount for its customers, on the back of a solid result for the 2013/14 financial year.

Centralines Chairman, Sam Robinson, said in addition to the solid financial result, the Company continued to perform well for its customers.

“As a key infrastructure connecting our rural community, Centralines continues to invest in developing and maintaining the network to deliver a reliable service to all customers, whilst ensuring the long-term sustainability of the Company.

“Centralines’ network has again performed well over the last twelve months. On average, customers have experienced three outages with an average duration of 160 minutes. This is well below the targets set by the Commerce Commission for Centralines.”

Central Hawke’s Bay Consumers’ Power Trust Chairman, Sarah von Dadelszen said the Trustees were very pleased with the Company’s financial result and network performance.

“The continued good performance of Centralines is a testament to the Company’s commitment to delivering reliable electricity solutions to its customers.”
The discount will be passed on to retailers to apply to customers’ power accounts. Customers should see this discount appear on their power bill between December 2014 and January 2015.
