Healthy eating menu ideal after a gym work out

Momento North in Hamilton is launching a new healthy eating menu ideal for people before or after a gym work out.

Over a nutritious breakfast on Friday morning, Momento Group Executive Head Chef Jamal Tamaiva enlisted the help of Hamilton-based Les Mills Gym personal trainers to gain ideas for developing its new healthy eating menu.

“We are going to focus on fresh and vibrant food, that is healthy and clean which will be great for the personal trainers at Les Mills and their clients as well as for those health-conscious people from other gyms,” says Jamal.

Orginally from Wellington, Jamal Tamaiva has 14 years’ experience in the food industry and has work at five star hotels in Australia, before moving to Hamilton.

Jamal has an in-depth knowledge and personal appreciation of healthy eating and keeping fit as he is currently plays for the Waikato provincial rugby team and trains as a boxer. “I train as a boxer myself, so I know the importance of eating clean and healthy every day,” says Jamal.

“Over the past few years that I’ve been here I notice how much Hamilton has grown, and the need has arisen for good and healthy food,” says Jamal.

“For those who want a healthy and clean breakfast or lunch that will compliment their exercise regime there is nothing in the local area for them. Momento North is going to change that,” says Jamal.

Momento North is ideal for anyone who loves good quality healthy food and the best coffee matched with a customer-friendly atmosphere. No matter if you are stopping by for a quick take-a-way coffee or a delectable dine-in meal, Momento North has something to cater for everyone.
