S.PELLEGRINO Young Chef 2015 – Calling All New Zealanders

18 November 2014 For Immediate Release

S.PELLEGRINO Young Chef 2015 – Calling All New Zealanders

S.Pellegrino, ambassador of Italian taste and fine dining around the globe, launches a global talent scouting to find the best young chefs from all over the world

Auckland, NEW ZEALAND – S.Pellegrino, the world famous sparkling water, synonymous with gourmet food and wine culture, gives birth to a global scouting project to find the best young chefs of the world, a unique initiative that reflects the strong commitment of the brand in supporting emerging talents.

From November 2014 until December 15, all the young chefs of the world can submit their application together with their signature dish on www.finedininglovers.com, the online magazine for food enthusiasts proudly endorsed by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.

The chefs must be no older then 30 and working as professionals in a restaurant as chefs or sous chefs or chefs de partie for at least one year.

From December 16 all the candidates will be divided in 20 regions* according to the geographic area they are from.

Then ALMA, the world’s leading international educational and training centre for Italian Cuisine (www.alma.scuolacucina.it), will select through the online applications the first 10 finalists for each region according to five Golden Rules: ingredients, skills, genius, beauty, message.

Between January 16 and February 28, the 10 finalists of each area will have to compete during a local event: each region will have a jury composed by independent top chefs who will taste the signature dishes of the finalists and choose the best one, always according to the five Golden Rules.

By the end of February the 20 best local young chefs from each world’s region will be announced as the official finalists.

There will be also an extraordinary surprise.

After collaborating with Missoni and Bulgari, S.Pellegrino has found a new ally in his unabated commitment to scouting and promoting talents, Vogue Italia: two unique icons that have in common the devotion to the ideals of Italian excellence, including culture, togetherness, and beauty.

In March 2015 Vogue Italia will match the 20 chefs with 20 emerging stylists: each of them will ideate a fashion creation inspired by the signature dish of the chefs.

The culminating event of the project – the S.Pellegrino Talen Awards -- will be on June 25--27 in Milan, where S.Pellegrino will be the official water of Expo Milano 2015 and of the Italian Pavillion.

This will be the occasion to discover the signature dishes and fashion creations and celebrate together with Vogue Italia the best young chefs and stylists who have competed.

An international jury of famous chefs will award the S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2015, while the cuisine and fashion lovers attending the final event will vote to assign Best Couple Chef Stylist 2015.

Exclusive contents about each local and international phase of the project, the signature dishes and the fashion creations will be constantly published on www.finedininglovers.com, the online magazine for food enthusiasts proudly endorsed by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.
