Russell McVeagh NZ firm of Year at Asia Women in Law Awards

Russell McVeagh wins New Zealand firm award at Asia Women in Law Awards

Russell McVeagh was recognised as the New Zealand Law Firm of the Year at the 2014 Euromoney Asia Women in Business Law Awards, held in Hong Kong on 13 November.

The awards, which are Asia-wide in scope, recognise firms setting the standard in female-friendly work practices.

Firm awards are judged on the best initiatives for gender diversity, innovation, work-life balance, pro-bono work and talent management.

Russell McVeagh is committed to diversity in recruitment and promotion and has a number of initiatives in place to mentor and develop women in law. The firm's female partners are some of the most successful lawyers in New Zealand and are also represented on the firm's Board and management committees and are involved in recruiting, training mentoring the best lawyers and law graduates in the country.

Five Russell McVeagh partners have won individual awards at the Australasian Women in Law Awards since their inception in 2012, including two wins in 2014 for partners Pip Greenwood (Capital Markets) and Deemple Budhia (Rising Star, Finance).

The firm is extremely proud to have our efforts in the field of gender diversity recognised at the Asia Women in Business Law Awards and would like to congratulate our inspirational team.
