MYOB announces key appointments

MYOB today announced key appointments that will increase the company’s focus on continuing the strong uptake of innovative cloud solutions that make business life easier for SMEs, accounting practices and enterprises across Australia and New Zealand.

Andrew Birch, currently General Manager of the Enterprise and Connected Services Divisions will become the General Manager of Industry Solutions. In this newly created role Mr Birch will oversee the launch of the next exciting phase of MYOB’s cloud solutions.

This includes the re-imagining of accounting practice solutions Accountants Office and Accountants Enterprise for the cloud, as well as the launch of the cloud-ERP solution Advanced for mid-to-large companies, complementing MYOB’s existing EXO solutions.

Kevin Rawlings, previously National Manager, Client Relations, has been appointed General Manager of Practice Solutions. He will be directly responsible for the effective delivery of MYOB’s industry leading accounting practice solutions and will report to Mr Birch.

“I am excited about working with Kevin to ensure that our next generation of practice solutions provide an outstanding experience for our partners and their clients,” Mr Birch says.

“MYOB Accountants Office and MYOB Accountants Enterprise have been the benchmark for accountants working in public practice for over 25 years, and we’re looking forward to working with our partners as we re-imagine their extensive functionality in the cloud.”

Adam Ferguson, currently General Manager of Accountants Division, will become General Manager of Engineering & Experience. Mr Ferguson will head up the newly created division that brings together the management, development and delivery of MYOB’s entire suite of cloud and mobile business solutions into one single business unit.

Mr Ferguson says he is looking forward to overseeing the development of new innovative solutions. He says he has very much enjoyed the direct involvement with accountants over the past nine years.

“It has been a highlight of my career to have worked so closely with our fantastic accounting partners, but I know that Andrew and Kevin will do an outstanding job of working with them as MYOB moves its practice solutions to the cloud.”

The SME Solutions division, which is responsible for SME adoption of cloud accounting solutions, including through MYOB’s accounting partners, will be headed by James Scollay. Mr Scollay’s team will continue to drive the uptake of MYOB’s range of cloud accounting and mobile products designed to make business life easier for small businesses in Australia and New Zealand.
