SPCA Waikato gets paws on new donation monitoring system

A recent partnership with recurring payment solutions provider Debitsuccess has seen SPCA Waikato introduce a new donation monitoring system, enabling more transparency and greater donor engagement.

A not-for-profit animal welfare organisation, SPCA Waikato is funded entirely by the Waikato community. Its core purpose is to improve the lives of animals which it aims to achieve by preventing cruelty and alleviating suffering, and providing education and advocacy. According to the organisation’s Executive Officer Sara Elliott-Warren, SPCA Waikato is already reaping the benefits of working with the payment company.

“We didn’t have a formal regular giving programme in place so with the development of our Guardian Angels programme we needed a secure and reliable portal for people to donate on a regular basis,” says Sara.

For us, there’s significant value in having a third party that can distribute SPCA Waikato branded welcome letters to our new clients and engage with a donor if there are changes to their donation, for example change of details or donation amount.”

This donation monitoring is critical for the SPCA Waikato which has an annual operating budget of $1 million met entirely through fundraising and donations. With the assistance of Debitsuccess, the not-for-profit organisation now has a regular giving platform that improves the donor experience, reduces in-house administration and supports regular cashflow.
