Veritas Appoints General Manager for Nosh

Veritas Investments Limited (NZX:VIL) today confirmed the appointment of Rod de Vries as General Manager for the Nosh Food Market business it acquired on 9th September 2014.

Mr de Vries holds a Bachelor of Science degree and Post Graduate Diploma in Science, and has extensive experience in the Food Retail sector. This has included several years as Chief Operating Officer for NZX-listed Restaurant Brands and previously as General Manager for the KFC and Pizza Hut businesses. More recently he was Director of Operations for market-leading food sevice company Compass Group.

“We are delighted to have someone with the experience and calibre of Rod joining Veritas to head up our Nosh business. We see enormous potential for Nosh and it is great to secure a top quality general manager to take it forward,” says Veritas Chairman Mark Darrow.

Mr de Vries commences the new role with Nosh on 19 January 2015.

“Over the past few months, the Nosh business has been run by Mad Butcher CEO Michael Morton, and I would like to pass on my personal thanks to him for the extra workload post acquisition to get the improvement process underway,” says Mr Darrow.
