Thinc appoints Leonie Kelly as Project Director and New Zealand Lead

Thinc is delighted to announce the recent appointment of Leonie Kelly as our new Project Director for the Christchurch Hospital Redevelopment as well as our New Zealand Lead. Leonie joins Thinc from TBH Group, where she spent 25 years, including 14 years as National Director.

Leonie brings an impressive track record achieving highly successful client outcomes for the establishment, leadership and management of a diverse range of capital works programs valued up to several billion dollars. She specialises in portfolio, program and project management with a strong capability in governance establishment right through to capital works delivery.

She has delivered a significant range of high-profile projects throughout her career, in a variety of roles from Director-in-Charge to Procurement and Program Advisor, Program Manager, Project Director and Project Manager, including: the $4.5 billion Queensland Health Mega Hospitals Program; the $437 million Townsville Hospital Expansion; the $9.2 billion Roy Hill Mine in Pilbara; the $1.2 billion Midwest Rail Upgrade; and the $360 million 30-storey 5 Green Star commercial high-rise at 275 George Street in Brisbane to name a few.

Leonie was recently a member of the Australian Standards Development Committee for the drafting of the International Standard for Project Management. She was also a member of the original Project Management Competency Standards Committee in the 1990s.
