Power Optimizer – new technology now in New Zealand

Solar Group –A market leader in the Solar panels market in NZ since 1986 is happy to announce distribution partnership that expands the product offering of Solar Group and answers the increasing demand for solar innovative systems.

Solar Group is a New Zealand owned and operated company with nearly 30 year experience in the solar market. Its business model is service oriented and it holds an extensive evaluation process before adding a new supplier and product to its portfolio. For nearly a year Solar Group has been evaluating and testing SolarEdge’s innovative solution.

Roy Netzer the Managing director of solar Group said to the first training forum “when we choose a new product we choose the best – and SolarEdge is defiantly the best solution in the world today”

SolarEdge is the first comprehensive solution to tackle all of the challenges encountered with solar power systems. SolarEdge has being leading the power optimization market with more than 4 millions of units sold in more than 70 countries worldwide.

A power optimizer is a DC to DC converter technology designed to maximize the energy harvest from the solar power panels.

The Optimizers do it by individually turning the performance of the PV panels.

Unlike a micro invertor that has a small inverter on every panel the power optimizer leaves the inverter in a separate box and uses only one for the entire array.

This way it lower the overall system cost and avoids large electronics component risk of failure.

Solar Group has already installed a few SolarEdge systems around the country and clients are reporting fantastic results.
