ANZ today announced Michael Bullock has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of ANZ Bank New Zealand.

Currently the bank’s General Manager Institutional & Commercial Operations, Mr Bullock begins the new role from 2 March 2015, subject to Reserve Bank of New Zealand approval.

Mr Bullock brings to the role more than 23 years’ experience in the finance and banking sector in senior operational positions. Prior to joining ANZ he was with Citigroup for 14 years where he held a number of roles in the Global Corporate and Investment Bank across various geographies and business sectors.

“We’re pleased to have someone with Mike’s broad banking experience and strong track record in this key role,” ANZ New Zealand CEO David Hisco said.

Current Chief Operating Officer for NZ Craig Sims has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of the bank’s Enterprise Services, which supports the finance, risk, human resources operations and other enablement functions globally.
