Auckland Airport announces partnership with TripIt

Auckland Airport announces world-first partnership with travel organiser, TripIt

Auckland Airport has announced a partnership with TripIt® from Concur®, the world’s highest-rated travel-organising app.

Based in San Francisco, TripIt has more than 11 million registered users across the world. TripIt is the world’s easiest way to organise and share travel plans, regardless of where the travel is booked. The TripIt app automatically creates a master itinerary for the traveller, accessible anytime, on any device, using multiple bookings that have been forwarded to it or which it has retrieved directly.

Jason Delamore, Auckland Airport’s general manager of marketing and communications, says, “We are really excited by this partnership, which is a world first between an airport and TripIt, and an exclusive arrangement here in New Zealand.”

“The partnership will enable Auckland Airport and TripIt to share their insights and develop services for New Zealand and international travellers. It is part of a series of initiatives that Auckland Airport will undertake over the next few months to make the travel experience better for airport users, regardless of airline, class of travel or nationality.”

“We will be connecting some of the airport’s information services directly into TripIt, educating travellers about the benefits of automatically organised itineraries, and providing a number of travellers with the opportunity to experience the TripIt Pro app. The TripIt Pro app sends travellers real-time flight alerts, helps them get the best seat, find alternate flights, and more.”

“Auckland Airport evaluated a number of travel-organising technology solutions and was really impressed by TripIt’s strong customer focus, which mirrors our own commitment to making journeys better. We are delighted to have secured this unique arrangement for our customers,” says Mr Delamore.

More details about the partnership will be announced in the coming months.
