Pakuranga Nosh expected to create 20 jobs

Auckland’s eastern bays shoppers are getting their own state-of-the-art Nosh Food Market store mid-year.

The new 630 sq. m. store on Pakuranga Highway opposite the Pakuranga Plaza shopping centre is Nosh’s eighth and will showcase a new modern layout for the brand.

Nosh is a market-style concept in food shopping bringing together the authenticity and expertise of butchery, bakery, delicatessen, the greengrocer and more under one roof.

It focuses on quality fresh food and produce at affordable market prices appealing to modern household shoppers.

Nosh general manager Rod de Vries says he expects the store opening to create 20 new jobs in the area.

“It’s a flagship store and while we do have a strong policy of promoting from within – especially on the management side - we still see the need extra staff for our eighth store so we’re about to start recruiting.”

Mr de Vries says there are two drivers behind Nosh’s move east of the Tamaki River.

“Pakuranga Road is a busy gateway to the eastern beaches of Auckland and we see the opening of a branch there as a great opportunity to grow our reach in to an area where the residents are typical of Nosh shoppers.

“We believe it’s also a great time to reinvigorate the Nosh brand by showcasing a new more modern layout providing an improved in-store experience for our customers. Eastern Bays residents will be first to get a taste of the new face of Nosh.”
